Kian Tatsuo Linam is a pianist and music producer based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and has been formally commended by the Virginia Senate and House of Delegates for his musical achievements and contributions.

A two-time YoungArts Award Winner (2024, 2025) and recipient of multiple DownBeat Student Music Awards, Kian has performed with acclaimed artists and groups such as The US Army Blues, Ashlin Parker & The Trumpet Mafia, and Michael Bowie and has performed at renowned venues and festivals including Blues Alley, The Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival, The Blue Room (Kansas City), The Hamilton, The Carlyle Room, and The National Press Club.

In 2025, Kian was selected as one of the top student jazz musicians in the country to join the 2025 NEA/Herbie Hancock Institute National Peer-to-Peer All-Star Jazz Quintet Tour in Kansas/Kansas City with the renowned Bobby Watson and Lisa Henry and was awarded a full scholarship to attend the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.

As a producer, Kian (tatsuo) has built a catalogue of music with over 400,000 monthly listeners and has been featured on Spotify’s “lofi beats”, “focus flow”, “new lofi”, and “lofi summer beats” playlists.
